South Africa’s very own Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg has made her mark on the international stage by winning the prestigious World Designer Award for the Africa region at the 72nd Miss World Top Model competition. The event, hosted by Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle, took place at the iconic Trident Hotel in Hyderabad, India. Zoalize impressed the judges with a custom-made gown by fashion designer Juan William Aria, made from satin glass fabric and featuring hand-embroidered motifs that paid homage to South Africa’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. The dress, adorned with a protea – South Africa’s national flower – symbolized unity, strength, and diversity.
Out of 108 contestants, four continental winners were crowned at the Top Model competition, securing a spot in the Miss World 2025 quarterfinals. The continental winners include Jasmine Gerhardt of Ireland (Europe), Selma Kamanya of Namibia (Africa), Nandini Gupta of India (Asia & Oceania), and Aurélie Joachim of Martinique (Americas & Caribbean). These talented individuals have showcased their beauty and grace, earning a well-deserved spot in the quarterfinals.
Reflecting on her Miss World 2025 journey, Zoalize expressed her gratitude for the support and empowerment she has received throughout the competition.
