The World Bank recently announced the appointment of Carole Megevand as the new Country Manager for Kosovo and North Macedonia. Effective July 1, 2025, Megevand will lead the World Bank’s efforts in these countries, overseeing the implementation of Country Partnership Frameworks aimed at supporting economic growth and development.
Megevand expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve the people of Kosovo and North Macedonia in her new role. With over two decades of experience at the World Bank, Megevand has a strong background in inter-sectoral development and governance, having worked on projects in Africa, Latin America, and North Africa.
Prior to her appointment as Country Manager, Megevand served as the Program Leader for the Planet program in the Maghreb region, based in Rabat, Morocco. She holds dual master’s degrees in Agricultural Economics and Environment/Natural Resources Economics, providing her with a solid foundation for her new responsibilities.
