The anticipation for the release of Android 16 is growing as users eagerly await the second quarter of 2025 for its arrival. With various Android phones still awaiting the Android 15 update, the focus has already shifted to the upcoming Android version.

As with previous Android updates, the availability of the Android 16 update will vary depending on each brand’s development and deployment schedules. Apple

Apple’s iPhones run on the iOS platform, so iPhone users will not receive the Android 16 update.

Google

Google’s Pixel devices are typically the first to receive new Android updates. The Pixel 6, 7, and Pixel Fold devices in the UK and US are expected to receive the Android 16 update, with Google announcing extended support for up to five years for both OS and security updates.
