Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League with a scintillating 6-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, courtesy of a masterclass from Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian forward notched two goals and two assists, further cementing his status as a key player for the Reds. With this performance, Salah now sits as the club’s fourth all-time top scorer, trailing only Ian Rush, Roger Hunt, and Gordon Hodgson.

Under the guidance of manager Arne Slot, Liverpool have been in formidable form this season, winning 21 out of their 25 matches. Their recent victory over Tottenham showcased their attacking prowess and title credentials, as they now sit four points clear at the summit of the league table, with a game in hand over second-placed Chelsea.

Luis Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister got Liverpool off to a flying start, with Dominik Szoboszlai and Salah extending their lead in the second half. Despite a late fightback from Tottenham, including goals from James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, and Dominic Solanke, Liverpool emerged victorious with Diaz adding a final goal to seal the win.

On the other hand, Manchester United’s struggles continued as they suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bournemouth. Dean Huijsen, Justin Kluivert, and Antoine Semenyo were the scorers for Bournemouth, who climbed to fifth place in the league standings. United, on the other hand, dropped to 13th place, facing mounting pressure on manager Ruben Amorim.

Chelsea missed an opportunity to go top of the table after a goalless draw against Everton, while Wolves secured a crucial 3-0 win over Leicester in their battle against relegation. Southampton, sitting at the bottom of the table, managed a goalless draw against Fulham as they await the arrival of new manager Ivan Juric.
