A tragic incident has shaken the University of Education, Winneba community, as a Level 100 student reportedly took his own life after discovering his partner’s infidelity. The young student was found dead by hanging on April 16th, following a distressing encounter with his girlfriend and another individual at GUSSS Hall Two.
The emotional turmoil resulting from this discovery is believed to have driven the student to end his life. The Winneba Police Service is currently holding his body as investigations into the incident are ongoing.
In a similar heartbreaking story, Rex Kondwani, a Malawian man, also took his own life after his wife donated their hard-earned money to a church without his consent. The tragic incident occurred on September 6th in Muwalo Village, Thyolo District, Malawi.
According to reports, the couple had earned K12,000 from gardening labor, which the wife decided to donate to their local church. When Kondwani asked for his share of the money, a heated argument ensued between the couple, ultimately leading to Kondwani hanging himself from the same church where the money was donated.
