The Uganda U17 Boys National Team is gearing up for a thrilling showdown against Tanzania in the CECAFA U17 Championship final after a stellar 4-1 victory over Somalia in the semifinals.

The highly anticipated final is scheduled to take place tomorrow on December 27, 2024, at 3:30 pm at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo. Both teams are determined to clinch the regional title and showcase their prowess ahead of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Under the guidance of Coach Brian Ssenyondo, Uganda’s tactical prowess has been on full display throughout the tournament. The team has been dominant in their performances, seizing their opportunities and maintaining composure in high-pressure situations. Their impressive goal-scoring record of 10 goals in three games, including the standout 4-1 victory over Somalia in the semifinals, highlights their strong form.

This remarkable performance not only secured Uganda’s spot in the final but also guaranteed their qualification for the U17 AFCON, which is set to be held in Morocco from March 30 to April 19, 2025.
