Tshego Gaelae Crowned Winner of 40th Mrs World Pageant
Tshego Gaelae, a 33-year-old model from South Africa, made history by winning the prestigious Mrs World pageant held in Las Vegas, USA. The Mrs World pageant, established in 1984, is renowned as the premier beauty contest for married women.
The competition was fierce, with Sri Lanka’s Ishadi Amanda being awarded the first runner-up title, and Thailand’s Ploy Panperm securing second place. However, it was Gaelae who stole the show and emerged victorious, bringing the crown home to South Africa.
In a statement on her Instagram handle, Gaelae expressed her gratitude and joy, saying, “To God Be the Glory. Thank you so much for the love and support, I am beyond grateful and elated! My beautiful South Africa, the crown is coming Home.”
Aside from her modeling career, Gaelae is an admitted attorney and works as a labour relations manager at a South African law firm. She is a strong advocate for women and children who have experienced domestic violence and runs her own NGO, We Are Our Children’s Keepers. The organization raises funds to provide essential items like school shoes, uniforms, stationery, and accessories to underprivileged schoolchildren.
Furthermore, Gaelae is actively involved in creating impactful content for various brands on her social media platforms and shares educational material through her YouTube channel, My Lawyer’s Corner.
In a similar vein of success, in 2024, Miss Universe Nigeria Chidimma Adetshina made history as the first Nigerian and West African to finish as the first runner-up at the Miss Universe 2024 competition held in Mexico City in November.
