The upcoming Women’s Cricket World Cup promises to be an exciting and challenging tournament for the Proteas, as they navigate through a series of games in different cities in India and Sri Lanka. The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently unveiled the fixtures for the tournament, which will see eight teams competing in a round-robin stage before moving on to the semifinals.

The South African squad will kick off their campaign against England in Bengaluru on 3 October, followed by matches against New Zealand in Indore and India in Vizag. After a week in Vizag, where they will also face Bangladesh, the Proteas will then travel to Colombo for games against Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The team will return to Indore for a crucial match against defending champions Australia on 25 October.

Should they progress to the semifinals, the South African women will once again hit the road, with one game scheduled in Bengaluru and the other in either Colombo or Guwahati. The final showdown is set to take place on 2 November in either Bengaluru or Colombo.

While the Proteas may not play at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Guwahati, they will have the opportunity to showcase their skills at the other host venues. The tournament will kick off with a clash between India and Sri Lanka in Bengaluru on 30 September 2025.

Having reached the semifinals in the last two editions of the 50-over Cricket World Cup, the Proteas will be aiming to make history by securing a spot in the final for the first time. With a challenging schedule ahead of them, the team will need to stay focused and give their all in each game.

– 13 October – SA v Bangladesh, Vizag
– 17 October – SA v Sri Lanka, Colombo
– 21 October – SA v Pakistan, Colombo
– 25 October – SA v Australia, Indore

As the tournament approaches, fans can look forward to an action-packed competition as the Proteas take on some of the best teams in the world in their quest for glory.
