Track and field has long been a sport that showcases some of the most talented and successful female athletes in the world. While the financial rewards may not be as high as those in other sports like football or basketball, many female track and field athletes have found ways to leverage their talent into significant wealth through endorsements, sponsorships, prize money bonuses, and media appearances.

In a recent article by Pulse Sports Kenya, the top five richest female track and field athletes in 2025 were highlighted, shedding light on their earnings and the sources of their wealth. These athletes have not only excelled on the track but have also built impressive net worths through their success in the sport.

Leading the pack is Faith Kipyegon, whose estimated net worth stands at around $5 million as of March 2025. Faith has earned a substantial amount through competition winnings, sponsorships, endorsements, and personal investments. Her dominance in the 1500m event has brought her significant prize money from World Championships, Diamond League races, and the Olympics. Partnering with Nike has also been a lucrative move for Faith, along with bonuses for record-breaking performances and government incentives for her Olympic victories.

Allyson Felix, another powerhouse in the world of track and field, boasts a net worth of approximately $4.5 million. Her earnings come from a variety of sources, including competitions, sponsorships, endorsement deals, business ventures, and media appearances. Allyson has worked with major brands like Adidas and Nike, as well as launching her own brand, Saysh. She remains one of the most marketable athletes in the sport.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, with an estimated net worth of $4 million, has also made a name for herself both on and off the track. Her performances at major competitions have earned her significant income, along with endorsement deals from global brands like Nike, Digicel, and GraceKennedy. Shelly-Ann has also invested in businesses and real estate, in addition to her charitable endeavors through the Pocket Rocket Foundation.

Sha’Carri Richardson, with a net worth of around $4 million, has turned heads with her explosive performances and lucrative deals with brands like Nike, Beats by Dre, Sprite, and Mielle Organics. Her success on the track has translated into financial success, making her one of the wealthiest female track and field athletes.

Finally, Sanya Richards-Ross, a former Olympic gold medalist, has parlayed her success on the track into a diverse portfolio of business ventures, media appearances, and investments. With partnerships with brands like Nike, Gatorade, BMW, and Visa, Sanya has built a successful post-track career that includes media analysis, reality TV, public speaking engagements, and entrepreneurship.

As the world of track and field continues to evolve, female athletes are seizing more financial opportunities than ever before. With increasing sponsorship deals and a growing focus on gender equality in sports, the future looks bright for female track and field athletes looking to build both their athletic legacies and their financial wealth.
