Chinese Embassy in Kenya Celebrates Spring Festival with Overseas Chinese

Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Kenya

The Chinese Embassy in Kenya recently hosted a Spring Festival Reception for overseas Chinese under the theme of “Embracing the Chinese New Year” and “Chinese New Year, We Are Together”. Ambassador Guo Haiyan delivered a speech at the event, which was attended by 300 participants representing various sectors.

Ambassador Guo highlighted the achievements of Chinese modernization, the country’s unique diplomacy, and the strong collaboration between China and Kenya in 2024. She emphasized the importance of implementing the outcomes of the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation to strengthen ties between the two nations.

The attendees expressed their commitment to enhancing partnerships with Kenyan counterparts, while also extending well wishes for the prosperity of China and the enduring friendship between China and Kenya.

Ambassador Guo presented New Year gifts to members of the Chinese community in Kenya and wished everyone a joyous Spring Festival.
