The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has recently made a significant announcement regarding entertainer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington. According to NAPTIP, Speed Darlington is now wanted for allegations of rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.

The controversy surrounding Speed Darlington began when a viral Instagram video surfaced, in which he claimed to have engaged in sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl. This prompted NAPTIP to summon him for questioning on 28 May 2025, with a mandate to appear at their headquarters in Abuja on 30 May 2025.

However, Speed Darlington failed to comply with the agency’s request, citing prior commitments. He suggested 26 June as an alternative date, which was promptly dismissed by NAPTIP due to the urgency and gravity of the situation. Subsequently, he was given another opportunity to appear on 2 June 2025, but once again, he did not show up.

As a result of his repeated non-compliance, NAPTIP has officially declared Speed Darlington wanted and is seeking the assistance of the public in providing any credible information on his whereabouts. The agency emphasizes the seriousness of the alleged offences, including rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.

In a statement released by NAPTIP, they urge anyone with pertinent information on Speed Darlington’s location to contact them immediately at 07030000203 or 627, or via email at info@naptip.gov.ng.

This development has sparked widespread concern and condemnation, as the allegations against Speed Darlington are grave and require prompt action. The public is encouraged to cooperate with NAPTIP in bringing Speed Darlington to justice and holding him accountable for his actions.
