Sonils, an Angolan logistics provider, has been announced as a Champion Sponsor for the upcoming Congo Energy & Investment Forum (CEIF) 2025. This prestigious event is scheduled to take place in Brazzaville from March 24-26 and will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to explore investment opportunities and advancements within the Republic of Congo’s flourishing energy sector.

As the integrated logistics and services arm of Angola’s state-owned Sonangol, Sonils plays a crucial role in supporting the country’s primary onshore oil and gas supply bases. The company offers facilities and areas dedicated to managing Angola’s offshore operations, contributing significantly to the country’s oil and gas industry.

The inaugural Congo Energy & Investment Forum, supported by President Denis Sassou Nguesso and the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Société Nationale des Pétroles du Congo, will serve as a platform for international investors and local stakeholders to discuss national and regional energy and infrastructure opportunities. The event will focus on gas-to-power projects and provide updates on ongoing expansions across the country.

With a track record of supporting regional oil production through cargo handling, engineering, and specialized oil and gas facilities development, Sonils is well-equipped to support the Congo’s energy sector growth. The company’s expertise in managing large-scale logistics operations will be invaluable in helping the Congo efficiently handle increased production volumes and expand its export capabilities.

The Congo, which exported its first LNG cargo in February 2024 and aims to double its crude oil production in the next three years, stands to benefit greatly from Sonils’ logistics and infrastructure development capabilities. By leveraging Sonils’ industry knowledge and established infrastructure, the Congo can optimize its operations and maximize its potential in the energy sector.

In conclusion, Sonils’ participation as a Champion Sponsor in the Congo Energy & Investment Forum highlights the company’s commitment to supporting the growth and development of the energy sector in Angola and the wider region. Their expertise and experience will undoubtedly contribute to the success of the forum and play a key role in shaping the future of energy in the Republic of Congo.
