The Journey of Stacey and Benni McCarthy: A Decade of Love and Success
Stacey McCarthy, the former Miss Edinburgh and wife of South African football legend Benni McCarthy, is beaming with pride as her husband takes on the role of head coach for Kenya’s national football team.
Having been married for over 10 years, Stacey took to her Instagram Stories to share her excitement and support for Benni’s new chapter. “New chapter, Kenya’s national team head coach. I am so proud of you,” she wrote.
The couple, who tied the knot on 24 May 2014 in a beautiful football-themed wedding ceremony in Stacey’s hometown of Edinburgh, Scotland, will soon celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary.
Together, Stacey and Benni have two children – a 12-year-old daughter named Lima Rose and a five-year-old son named Lio Romero.
As Benni embarks on this new coaching role, he expressed his anticipation for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. In a statement released by Hussein Mohammed, President of the Football Kenya Federation, it was stated that Benni’s experience, vision, and commitment to developing Kenyan football make him the ideal candidate to lead the national team to new heights.
Benni’s impressive coaching career includes stints as the head coach of AmaZulu and coaching roles at top clubs like Manchester United. His track record and dedication to the sport make him a valuable asset to the Kenyan national team and a source of inspiration for aspiring footballers in the country.
As the McCarthy family embarks on this new chapter, they continue to be a shining example of love, dedication, and success both on and off the field.
