Sheer Publishing Africa and Sintonia Publishing in Angola have joined forces in a new partnership that aims to boost the representation of African music on a global scale. Under this agreement, Sintonia Publishing will now serve as the representative for Sheer’s catalog in Angola, while Sheer Publishing Africa will handle global representation for Sintonia’s works.

This collaboration marks a significant step for Sheer Publishing, expanding its reach across Africa and providing a platform for local Angolan talent to gain international recognition. With Sintonia Publishing’s extensive catalog of Angolan and Lusophone African music now under Sheer’s global network, the growth and promotion of local works are set to soar.

In return, Sheer Publishing’s catalog will receive exclusive representation in Angola through Sintonia Publishing. This partnership will cover various aspects including public performance, synchronization, adaptation, and promotion of works on radio and television, ensuring that Angolan music receives the attention it deserves on the global stage.

Both companies are committed to transparency, efficiency, and technological innovation, with a focus on streamlining royalty payments and bolstering Angola’s music industry. This dedication to supporting local talent and fostering growth within the creative sector underscores the mutual goals of Sheer Publishing Africa and Sintonia Publishing.

Sabina Fernandes, director of Sintonia Publishing, expressed her excitement about the collaboration, stating, “This partnership with Sheer Publishing is a significant milestone for Sintonia and the Angolan music market. The opportunity to manage a high-profile repertoire, including internationally renowned catalogs such as Warner Chappell and Family Tree, demonstrates our dedication to copyright value and expertise. We are eager to see the positive impact this partnership will have on Angola’s creative industry.”
