The upcoming clash between the Sharks and the Stormers in the United Rugby Championship (URC) is set to be a fierce battle, with Sharks head coach John Plumtree expecting the Stormers to target them in the set pieces, breakdowns, and defense. This comes after a thrilling victory for the Sharks against the Bulls, where they managed to hold off their opponents in a nail-biting 20-17 win.

Plumtree believes that the Stormers will focus on the same areas that the Bulls targeted in their match, putting pressure on the Sharks to perform at their best. The Sharks currently sit in fourth place on the overall table, leading the South African shield, while the Stormers are in 13th place overall and second in the South African shield.

In their previous encounter, the Sharks emerged victorious with a 21-15 win over the Stormers. However, the Stormers will be eager for revenge as they play on home turf and look to capitalize on the Sharks’ injury woes.

Plumtree highlighted the importance of set pieces, breakdowns, and defense in their victory against the Bulls, acknowledging the pressure they faced but commending their resilience. He expressed pride in his team’s efforts but emphasized the need to stay sharp as they face the Stormers, who will present a similar challenge.

Looking ahead to the upcoming match, Plumtree expressed hope that some key players, such as Siya Kolisi, Dylan Richardson, and Emile van Heerden, could return from injury. Their presence would bolster the Sharks’ lineup and provide added strength against the Stormers.

As the Sharks prepare to face off against the Stormers, the stage is set for another intense battle on the rugby field. With both teams eager for victory and seeking to secure their positions in the URC standings, fans can expect a thrilling showdown between these two South African rivals.
