Samsung has recently introduced its latest flagship phones, the Galaxy S25 series, which are packed with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) features. The launch event took place at the Wits Anglo-American Digital Dome in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Galaxy S25 lineup consists of three models: the base Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S25 Plus, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. These devices run on One UI 7, built on top of Android 15, allowing users to interact with their phones using natural language. The AI capabilities of the phones enable them to understand text, speech, images, and videos, making them true AI companions.

One of the standout AI features of the Galaxy S25 series is the Now Brief, which sends users alerts based on their schedule and activity patterns. The devices also feature an audio eraser function that removes unwanted noise from recordings made in noisy environments. Additionally, the Cooking Master feature can suggest recipes based on the ingredients available in your refrigerator.

Samsung’s Vice President for Mobile, Justin Hume, highlighted the human-like AI capabilities of the Galaxy S25 series, allowing users to interact with their phones as they would with a friend. The devices are the first to incorporate Google’s Gemini AI, offering a more personalized AI experience.

In terms of hardware, the Galaxy S25 series is powered by a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, with the Ultra model receiving upgrades to its design, display, and camera. The S Pen stylus, included with the Ultra model, remains unchanged in terms of features.

The Galaxy S25 series is available for pre-order now, with general availability set for February 7, 2025. The pricing starts at R19,999 for the base S25, R24,499 for the S25 Plus, and R31,999 for the S25 Ultra. The Ultra model comes in various color options, including Titanium Black, Titanium Blue, Titanium Grey, and Titanium Silver, while the S25 and S25 Plus offer Icy Blue, Mint, Navy, and Silver Shadow choices.
