The Galaxy Z Fold series has become a symbol of cutting-edge foldable technology. With the recent release of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, anticipation is already building for the next entry in the series – the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Early leaks suggest that Samsung’s upcoming foldable device could be slimmer, larger, and feature significant improvements across various aspects. Here’s what we know so far.

When will the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 be released?

Samsung typically unveils new flagship devices at its Unpacked events, with Galaxy Z Fold models launching annually around the middle of each calendar year. Following the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in 2024, it is expected that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be revealed in July or August 2025, coinciding with next year’s Unpacked event.

How much will the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 cost?

Rumors suggest that the pricing for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be similar to its predecessors, with the device likely to cost around £2,000/$2,000 in most markets. While there is a possibility of price reductions, significant changes are not expected.

What specs and features will the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 have?

Samsung is rumored to be working on two versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 for release next year. The device is expected to be thinner and lighter than previous models, with a focus on maintaining screen size and performance.

Design-wise, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumored to be slimmer and lighter, with leaked CAD renders suggesting a thickness of 4.5mm when unfolded and 9.5mm when folded. The device may feature a larger interior foldable screen, with rumors pointing to an 8-inch display.

In terms of performance, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “Elite for Galaxy” chipset and offer 12GB of RAM with multiple storage options. The device may also feature a new 200Mp main camera and improvements in battery life.

The software on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is likely to run on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7 experience, featuring a redesigned user interface tailored for foldable devices.

Overall, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is shaping up to be a promising addition to Samsung’s foldable lineup, with improvements in design, performance, camera capabilities, and software features. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the official release of the device.
