Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its highly anticipated Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Flip 7 FE, set to be unveiled at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on 9 July 2025. The event is scheduled to take place in New York City, with the devices expected to hit the market shortly after their announcement.

The Galaxy Z Flip series has been a game-changer in the world of flip-style folding phones, bringing them into the mainstream. While last year’s Galaxy Z Flip 6 was somewhat underwhelming, Samsung is looking to make a splash with the new Z Flip 7 models.

Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will come with a larger cover and internal displays compared to its predecessor. The design is expected to be sleek and slim, with a thickness close to 8.4mm when closed. The phone may also be lighter than the previous model, weighing in at around 187g.

In terms of display, the Z Flip 7 is rumored to feature PHOLED technology for improved power efficiency. The cover and inner displays are expected to be slightly larger than the Z Flip 6, offering a more immersive viewing experience.

Performance-wise, there are conflicting reports about the chipset powering the Z Flip 7. While some sources suggest it will be equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 2500 processor, others claim it will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite. The phone is expected to offer configurations with 12GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage.

The cameras on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 are rumored to include a 50MP main sensor and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. There are talks of adding a telephoto rear camera, but recent leaks suggest otherwise. The Z Flip 7 FE is expected to have a similar camera setup to its predecessor.

Battery and charging details indicate that the Z Flip 7 will support 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The phone may come with a slightly larger battery capacity compared to the Z Flip 6. The Z Flip 7 FE is rumored to have a 4000mAh battery with similar charging capabilities.

On the software front, the Z Flip 7 is expected to run on Samsung’s One UI 8 based on Android 16. The new UI is said to offer a redesigned interface with improved multitasking capabilities. Samsung is likely to continue its commitment to providing long-term OS and security updates for both models.

Overall, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Flip 7 FE are shaping up to be exciting additions to Samsung’s foldable lineup. Stay tuned for more updates on these innovative devices.
