From skydiving to river cruises, South African celebrities had a blast as they welcomed the new year of 2025. Let’s take a closer look at what some of our favorite stars got up to during their adventures across the African continent.

Media personality Pearl Thusi kicked off the year with a thrilling skydiving experience in Tanzania. Initially in the country to DJ on New Year’s Day, Thusi embraced the opportunity to explore Tanzania with her daughter and even took the plunge from the sky. Sharing a video of her landing on the beach in Zanzibar, Thusi captioned it with, “I always swore I’d never skydive, ever. But 2025 is 20 20 fly.”

Meanwhile, broadcaster and entrepreneur Anele Mdoda jetted off to Zambia for a short getaway with her loved ones. Reflecting on the beauty of Victoria Falls, Mdoda shared her excitement about the stunning destination and the magical moments she experienced. Joining her on the trip was chef and cookbook author Neo Nontso, who also took in the sights of the iconic Victoria Falls.

Bok Captain Siya Kolisi and his family also enjoyed the wonders of Zambia and Zimbabwe, sharing heartwarming moments from their holiday adventures. Rachel Kolisi, on the other hand, embarked on a solo trip to Botswana, leaving her kids behind for the first time. Despite initial nerves, Rachel found fulfillment in her solo journey and returned with a full heart and new friendships from around the world.

East Coast Radio broadcaster Carol Ofori also soaked up the beauty of Zambia, indulging in a cruise on the Zambezi River. From spotting hippos and crocodiles to experiencing the wonders of both Zambia and Zimbabwe, Ofori expressed her love for the continent and its people.

As these celebrities shared glimpses of their African escapades, it’s clear that the new year brought with it exciting adventures and unforgettable moments. Whether skydiving in Tanzania, cruising on the Zambezi River, or exploring the majestic Victoria Falls, these stars embraced the beauty and magic of the African continent in style. Here’s to more adventures and happy memories in 2025! In today’s fast-paced world, technology is constantly evolving and changing the way we live our lives. From the way we communicate to the way we work, technology has become an integral part of our daily routines. One of the most significant advancements in technology is the development of artificial intelligence (AI).

AI is a branch of computer science that aims to create machines that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. These tasks include things like speech recognition, decision-making, visual perception, and language translation. AI has the potential to revolutionize many industries, including healthcare, finance, and transportation.

One of the key benefits of AI is its ability to analyze and process vast amounts of data at a much faster rate than humans. This can help businesses make more informed decisions and improve efficiency. For example, in the healthcare industry, AI can be used to analyze medical images and detect early signs of diseases like cancer. In finance, AI can be used to predict market trends and make investment decisions.

AI is also being used to automate mundane tasks, freeing up human workers to focus on more complex and creative tasks. For example, in customer service, AI-powered chatbots can help answer common questions and provide support to customers, reducing the need for human intervention.

Despite its many benefits, AI also raises concerns about job displacement and ethical implications. As AI becomes more advanced, there is a fear that it could replace human workers in many industries, leading to widespread unemployment. There are also concerns about the potential misuse of AI, such as the development of autonomous weapons or the violation of privacy rights.

To address these concerns, it is important for policymakers and industry leaders to establish guidelines and regulations for the development and use of AI. This includes ensuring that AI is used responsibly and ethically, and that it is designed to benefit society as a whole.

Overall, AI has the potential to transform our world in profound ways. By harnessing the power of AI, we can improve efficiency, make better decisions, and enhance our quality of life. As we continue to explore the possibilities of AI, it is important to approach its development with caution and foresight, ensuring that it is used in a way that benefits everyone.
