Holger Rune Upsets Casper Ruud in Barcelona Quarterfinals

Rune, ranked 13th in the world, managed to break Ruud’s serve twice in each set, securing his second victory over the 10th-ranked Norwegian out of their eight encounters.
The Danish player is now set to face off against Karen Khachanov in the semi-finals after the Russian defeated Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina with a score of 6-4, 7-5.
Meanwhile, top seed Carlos Alcaraz is aiming for his third Barcelona title in four years and is scheduled to compete against Australia’s Alex de Minaur later in the day.
Additionally, Stefanos Tsitsipas, a four-time runner-up at this tournament, is set to face Frenchman Arthur Fils in the quarter-finals, adding to the excitement of the competition.
