Prophet Nanasei Opoku-Sarkodie is the General Overseer of Potter’s City

The General Overseer of Potter’s City, Prophet Nanasei Opoku-Sarkodie, has stated that the numerous responsibilities that come with marriage can influence a man to become unromantic towards his wife.

According to him, many married men become preoccupied with fulfilling their responsibilities at home, such as paying for their children’s school fees and covering daily financial expenses, which can weigh heavily on them.

As a result, some men may not have the time or energy to engage in romantic activities like kissing, hugging, or other gestures that their wives may desire.

Prophet Opoku-Sarkodie advised against choosing a partner based solely on physical appearance, stressing the importance of patience and mutual tolerance in sustaining a marriage.

“Responsibilities can cause your husband not to be romantic, but that doesn’t mean he’s not in love. He’s focused on paying bills and meeting other obligations. There are things I used to do that I no longer do consciously, like saying, ‘Oh, give me a kiss, give me a hug.’ There’s a time for everything under the sun. All this ‘I love you, honey, sugar’… it won’t always be permanent,” he explained to his congregation.

“A time will come when your husband might not have that time. Don’t say, ‘Now he doesn’t have time for me.’ Who should have time for whom? You came to help me; you should rather make time for me. If you don’t change your mindset, you may destroy what God is preparing for your future,” he warned.

“Love is not a feeling, it’s a choice. Responsibilities can make your husband seem unromantic, it does not mean he does not love you”
