Real Madrid’s Raul Asencio Faces Legal Trouble in Connection with Alleged Teen Sex Video Case
Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio is currently facing legal troubles alongside three former youth players at the club in connection with the alleged recording and distribution of a sexual video involving a minor. According to reports from Spanish media, a judge in Gran Canaria is pursuing legal action against “four footballers” for their alleged involvement in the recording or non-consensual dissemination of videos of a sexual nature involving a minor and another young girl, who were 16 and 18 years old respectively at the time of the incident.
While the court documents do not explicitly name Asencio or attribute specific charges to individual players, the 22-year-old defender is widely reported to be among those facing prosecution. The charges include disclosure of secrets without consent, violation of privacy, distribution of explicit material involving minors, and possession of child pornography.
The case originated from a complaint made in September 2023 by the mother of the younger girl who appeared in the video. It was reported that a consensual sexual encounter between the girl and one of the players was filmed without her knowledge, and the footage was then shared among others without her consent.
Following the initial complaint, three players were arrested at Real Madrid’s training center, although their identities were not disclosed. Asencio, who is now a regular starter in Madrid’s first team, has faced public backlash in recent months, with rival fans chanting slogans against him.
During a recent Clasico match, Barcelona fans were heard shouting “Asencio, to jail,” while Real Madrid’s Copa del Rey semi-final clash with Real Sociedad in February was briefly halted after home supporters chanted “Asencio die.”
The legal proceedings are ongoing as the Spanish judiciary continues its investigation into the matter. Asencio and the other players involved in the case await further developments as the situation unfolds.
