Barcelona’s Raphinha Voted La Liga Player of the Year

Brazilian winger Raphinha has been named the player of the year in Spain’s La Liga after Barcelona’s successful domestic double triumph.

The 28-year-old, who joined Barcelona from Leeds three years ago, had an outstanding season, scoring 18 goals and providing nine assists.

Renowned for his exceptional dribbling skills and tireless work ethic in defense, Raphinha has been a key player for Barcelona throughout the season.

Barcelona’s rising star, Lamine Yamal, was recognized with the under-23 award for his impressive performances.

Despite rumors of a potential departure during the last transfer window, Raphinha’s future at Barcelona was secured when new manager Hansi Flick appointed him as captain and extended his contract until July 2028.
