President Ramkalawan honors exemplary employees at Ministry of Local Government awards ceremony
President Wavel Ramkalawan presided over the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs’ annual awards ceremony, held at Savoy Resort yesterday evening.
The ceremony recognized outstanding employees from various essential departments such as burial services, security, district administration, and secretariat. The administration’s commitment to excellence in public service delivery was highlighted through the presentation of awards at three levels – bronze, silver, and gold medals, with the gold medal awards representing the pinnacle of achievement.
Minister Rose Marie Hoareau, in her address, described the past year as “remarkable” for the ministry. She commended the staff for their resilience, teamwork, and unwavering dedication in achieving the ministry’s objectives. Minister Hoareau expressed gratitude for the employees’ consistent commitment and diligence, emphasizing their crucial role in the ministry’s success.
Their exceptional contributions were recognized as integral to the ministry’s accomplishments over the year. Through acknowledging and rewarding outstanding performance, the administration reaffirms its dedication to upholding the highest standards of public service delivery, ultimately benefiting the entire community.
Chief Secretary Mrs. Shella Mohideen, Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs Mr. Kevin Perrin, ministry staff, and invited guests were also in attendance at the ceremony.
