President Mahama appoints Bridget Otoo as Presidential Staffer

Broadcast journalist Bridget Otoo has recently been appointed as a presidential staffer at the Office of the President by John Dramani Mahama. Her new role as Presidential Staffer in charge of Government Communications places her at the forefront of state messaging and media coordination.

Bridget Otoo is well-known for her fearless commentary and advocacy on social and political issues, making her a prominent figure in Ghana’s media landscape. From her early days as a news anchor to her current work as a freelance journalist, she has built a reputation for bold and impactful journalism.

In a personal statement shared on her official Facebook page, Bridget reflected on her journey leading up to this appointment. She expressed her excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to serve in such a crucial role within the government.

She mentioned waking up on January 7 with anticipation to witness the swearing-in of the new President, reflecting on the historic victory and the celebration that followed. Despite being in a hospital bed at the time, she experienced the event through updates from her husband and cousin, who were in attendance.

Bridget expressed her deep honor at being considered for a role in shaping the government’s mandate, emphasizing her faith and trust in the NDC government. She acknowledged that her appointment was a result of her hard work and dedication, and she is committed to proving herself worthy during her service.

She extended her gratitude to President Mahama, First Lady Lordina Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Stan Xoese Dogbe, Felix Kwakye Fosu, and grassroots supporters of the NDC for their support and encouragement.
