President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting today with Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly and Minister of Religious Endowments Dr. Usama Al-Azhari. The discussion revolved around the Ministry of Endowment’s action plan, focusing on various aspects of their work.
Minister Al-Azhari provided an overview of the ministry’s efforts to train and qualify Imams, as well as their upcoming preaching plan. He highlighted the ministry’s initiatives to promote sound religious awareness, renew the religious discourse, and participate in “The Union of Arab Awqaf” General Assembly meeting.
The meeting also delved into the Ministry of Endowment’s initiative to revive traditional Islamic Schools (Kuttab) and the ongoing efforts to qualify Imams, preachers, and female preachers across different domains. The discussion emphasized the role of “The Awqaf Academy” in enhancing the expertise of religious scholars and keeping them informed about contemporary issues.
President El-Sisi emphasized the importance of improving the conditions of Imams, preachers, and religious scholars. He instructed for the continuation of training and qualification programs using the latest systems and methods. The President also ordered a thorough study of the initiative to revive traditional Islamic Schools (Kuttab) to assess their feasibility and impact on future generations.
The meeting concluded with a directive to intensify efforts in enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided by the preachers’ hospital.
