Post Malone Finds Himself in Custody Battle with Ex Hee Sung “Jamie” Park
Post Malone, whose real name is Austin Post, is currently embroiled in a legal dispute with his ex-girlfriend Hee Sung “Jamie” Park over the custody of their daughter. The couple had managed to keep their relationship private during their time together, with Malone only confirming his impending fatherhood in May 2022 without mentioning Park’s name. Their daughter, whose name has not been disclosed to the public and is referred to as “DDP” in court documents, was born the following year.
In an interview on CBS Sunday Morning in August 2024, Malone expressed the profound impact of fatherhood, stating, “It changes your life in the best way ever. I’ll never forget her. If you’ve heard her cry, you’ll never forget her, either.” Following the birth of their daughter, Malone began to open up more about his relationship with Park. During a 2023 appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, the singer confirmed their engagement, which had taken place two years prior.
However, court documents from May 2025 revealed that Malone and Park had split in November 2024, leading to a contentious custody battle over their daughter. Park filed for primary physical custody in California, requesting joint legal custody and visitation rights for Malone, as well as asking him to cover attorney fees. In response, Malone filed his own custody petition in Utah, where they had previously lived together and raised their daughter.
Malone claimed in his filing that he and Park had agreed to share custody and move their daughter between L.A. and Utah every two weeks. However, he alleged that Park had plans to change their daughter’s primary residence to California, prompting him to file his own petition first. Malone accused Park of misleading the court by rushing to enroll their daughter in activities in California to make it appear as though she lived there.
In his filing, Malone stated, “I do not consent to Jamie’s back door attempt to change DDP’s residence from Utah to California. I request that the California court admonish Jamie for her lack of candor, gamesmanship in attempting to forum shop, and her intentional action to try to mislead the court about DDP’s home.” Both Malone and Park have chosen to remain silent on the ongoing custody dispute.
