The tragic discovery of the lifeless body of schoolgirl Gloria Segoe in a stream in the Awutu Senya East Municipality has left the community in shock. Police in Tomefa, Ga South Municipality, have detained Gloria’s boyfriend as they intensify investigations into the incident.
According to reports, the Ghana National Fire Service received a distress call late on Monday night regarding a missing person near a water body in Kasoa. A team was dispatched to the scene and after a 40-minute search, Gloria’s body was retrieved around 10:42 p.m.
It is believed that Gloria had gone to the area to visit her boyfriend, but the exact circumstances leading to her death remain unclear. The Ghana Police Service has taken custody of the body and launched a full-scale investigation into the matter. Gloria’s boyfriend is currently in custody and assisting with police enquiries.
