Assistant coach Akarandut Orok has praised the determination and resilience of the Akwa United players following their impressive 2-1 victory over Enyimba. The match, which took place on Sunday during matchday 23 in Aba, saw Stanley Eguma’s team succumb to the Promise Keepers.

Orok emphasized that this win will serve as a catalyst for the team to secure more victories in the remaining games of the season. In a statement to the club’s media, he expressed his delight at the hard-fought victory, attributing it to the players’ commitment to following instructions and giving their all on the field.

He highlighted the team’s strong performance across all departments, commending their ability to create scoring opportunities despite some missed chances. Orok acknowledged the importance of converting chances into goals, emphasizing the need for improved finishing to secure positive results in future games.

The assistant coach emphasized the significance of the timing of this victory, believing that it will inspire the team to strive for more success both at home and away. He stressed the importance of consistency in performance to climb up the league standings and achieve their desired results.

Looking ahead, the 2021 league champions are set to face Sunshine Stars in Ikenne this weekend, where they will aim to build on their recent triumph and maintain their winning momentum in the league.

Overall, Orok’s words reflect the team’s determination to push forward and achieve their goals, underscoring the importance of perseverance and a relentless pursuit of success in the competitive world of football. As they gear up for their upcoming match, Akwa United will undoubtedly draw strength from their recent victory and continue to strive for excellence on the pitch.
