Netflix Introduces Season Download Feature for iOS Devices

Exciting news for Apple device owners as Netflix has rolled out a new feature that allows iOS users to download an entire season of a show with just one tap. Previously available on Android since 2021, this feature eliminates the need for iPhone and iPad users to download episodes individually.

The long-awaited Season Download feature was officially launched on Wednesday, January 30, 2025, much to the delight of Apple devotees. According to a Netflix representative speaking to Variety, the new feature aims to address the inconvenience of downloading episodes one by one.

This update makes offline viewing of series much more convenient for iPhone owners. With the ability to download entire seasons with a single tap, users can enjoy uninterrupted streaming on the go, whether on a trip, during a flight, or in case of power outages.

iOS users can now download all original Netflix productions and most licensed series using the Season Download feature. Subscribers on the Standard with Ads plan can save up to 15 series per month on their devices, while those on the ad-free subscription tiers (Standard or Premium) can download up to 100 series.

The Season Download button can be found next to the Share option on a show’s display page. Simply select the series you wish to watch, locate the button, and tap to initiate the automatic download of the entire season to your device.

In conjunction with the feature rollout, Netflix shared the top 5 most downloaded shows by Android users. The list includes popular titles like Squid Game Season 1, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Squid Game Season 2, One Piece, and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
