NAG magazine unveils winter edition with Doom: The Dark Ages

The latest issue of NAG magazine has caused quite a stir in the gaming community, with its stunning cover featuring Doom: The Dark Ages. The winter edition of the magazine was officially launched in Johannesburg amidst much anticipation and excitement.

Len Nery, the publisher of NAG, expressed his pride in the artwork featured on the cover of the winter issue. He credited the magazine’s designer, Chris, for his vision in creating a visually striking cover that focused primarily on the artwork. Nery emphasized the magazine’s commitment to producing high-quality content that resonates with readers.

Doom: The Dark Ages is the highly anticipated prequel to the immensely popular Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal. Set in a dark and sinister medieval world, the game follows the epic journey of the Doom Slayer as he battles against the forces of Hell. Players can expect a thrilling single-player experience filled with intense combat and breathtaking visuals, all powered by the latest idTech engine.

In this new installment of the Doom series, players will have the opportunity to wield a variety of powerful weapons, including the iconic Super Shotgun and the versatile Shield Saw. The game promises to deliver the fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping action that fans of the franchise have come to love.

Doom: The Dark Ages was officially released on May 15, 2025, and is now available on PlayStation 5, PC (via Steam, Battle.net, and the Microsoft Store), and Xbox Series X/S. Additionally, the game is included as a day one launch title for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, allowing players to dive into the action-packed world of Doom without any additional cost.
