Mustapha Gbande commends police leadership for peaceful 2024 elections

The Ghana Police Service has received high praise from the Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande, for their crucial role in ensuring peace during the December 2024 general elections. In an interview with TV3, Mr Gbande commended the proactive approach taken by the police, which he believes helped to prevent any activities that could have compromised the integrity of the polls.

He specifically highlighted the vigilance of the police, noting that their actions successfully thwarted attempts to undermine the electoral process and averted potential violence. Mr Gbande expressed his appreciation for the professionalism displayed by the security forces, emphasizing that their dedication to safeguarding Ghana’s democracy was evident throughout the election period.

Moreover, he revealed the NDC’s readiness to protect their votes, stating that the party had a robust plan in place to resist any threats to the electoral process.
