One of the key initiatives highlighted is the MTN Skills Academy, which provides tools and resources for both employment and entrepreneurship. Kwofie emphasized the importance of viewing digital platforms not just as sources of entertainment, but as avenues for creating employment opportunities and solving local challenges.
Collaboration for Skills Development
The summit, organized by the Martha Inspires Foundation, brought together students, youth groups, and officials to provide mentorship and career guidance. This event underscores the increasing collaboration between private companies and the government to address skills gaps in the youth population.
A deputy CEO of the National Youth Authority emphasized the significance of partnerships with companies like MTN in national efforts to combat youth unemployment. Many attendees found the summit not only informative but also empowering, with one student expressing newfound confidence in making informed decisions about their future career path.
