Google’s Latest AI Updates Unveiled at Google I/O Conference
Google’s annual I/O developer conference in Mountain View, California, was abuzz with excitement as the tech giant unveiled a series of updates focused on enhancing Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities across its various platforms and products.
One of the key highlights of the conference was the announcement of updates to Google’s AI models, aimed at improving image processing, action-taking abilities, and even writing code.
AI Enhancements Across Google’s Platforms
Google CEO Sundar Pichai showcased the company’s commitment to AI by introducing an AI mode for the search engine. This new feature leverages decades of research to enhance search results and user experiences.

AI Mode and AI Ultra Plan
In a significant update, Google introduced an “AI Mode” for its search engine, allowing users in the United States to access a wide range of AI-powered features, including shopping recommendations and product listings from various retailers.
Additionally, Google announced the launch of an “AI Ultra Plan” subscription service, offering users access to advanced AI tools and experimental features like Project Mariner and Deep Think. The subscription also includes access to Gemini, Veo 3 video generator, Flow video editing app, Whisk, and NotebookLM.
Gemini and Play Store Updates
Google also rolled out updates to Gemini Live, enabling users to engage in real-time conversations with the AI model while sharing video from their smartphone’s camera or screen. This feature, powered by Project Astra, enhances the interactive capabilities of Gemini.
Furthermore, the Play Store received enhancements for Android developers, including new tools for managing subscriptions, topic pages for specific interests, audio samples for app previews, and a streamlined checkout experience for selling add-ons.
