Canadian Model Dayle Haddon Dies From Carbon Monoxide Leak

Canadian model Dayle Haddon, known for her roles in films and TV series from the 1970s and 1980s such as “North Dallas Forty,” “Max Headroom,” and “The Hitchhiker,” passed away on Friday in Solebury, Pennsylvania at the age of 76. Authorities believe her death was due to a carbon monoxide leak.

Authorities discovered Haddon’s body in a second-floor bedroom of a property in Solebury Township, where Walter J. Blucas, 76, was also found unconscious. Blucas is currently in critical condition. Marc Blucas, an actor and the son of Walter J. Blucas, has not yet commented on the incident.

Remembering her mother, Ryan Haddon, Haddon’s daughter, described her as a strong yet compassionate woman who was creative, kind, and considerate. She shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, highlighting Haddon’s inner and outer beauty.

Alongside images of Haddon’s magazine covers as a model, including appearances in Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, and Vogue, Ryan Haddon also shared a picture of her mother’s book, “The Five Principles of Ageless Living,” published in 2003.

The tragic carbon monoxide leak was attributed to a faulty flue and exhaust pipe in the gas heating system, according to the police investigation. The Solebury Township Police Department extended their deepest sympathies to the families of Haddon and Blucas and emphasized the importance of carbon monoxide safety measures in homes.
