Mia Le Roux Withdraws from Miss Universe Competition Due to Health Concerns

The Miss South Africa organisation made a surprising announcement on Friday stating that Mia Le Roux, the reigning Miss SA 2024, has decided to withdraw from the upcoming Miss Universe competition. This decision comes just a day before the highly anticipated event where women from around the world will compete for the prestigious crown.

According to the organisation, Le Roux made the difficult choice to withdraw from the competition due to health concerns. The well-being and health of Mia are of utmost importance to the Miss South Africa organisation, and they are fully supportive of her decision to prioritize her health.

“Mia has shown incredible courage and grace throughout this challenging period. We stand by her side, dedicated to ensuring she regains her strength and returns to full health,” said the Miss South Africa organisation in a statement.

Le Roux also expressed her gratitude to the people of South Africa for their unwavering support during her time in the Miss Universe competition. Despite the disappointment of not being able to compete, she remains thankful for the opportunity to focus on her health and recovery.

Le Roux left South Africa at the end of October amidst a farewell ceremony at OR Tambo International Airport, where she was draped in a stunning garment designed by Juan Aria William. The 73rd Miss Universe pageant is scheduled to take place in Mexico City, Mexico on 16 November.
