Meryl Streep’s Daughter Mamie Gummer Files for Divorce

“The Good Wife” star Mamie Gummer has officially filed for divorce from her husband Mehar Sethi after 6 years of marriage.
Mamie, the oldest daughter of renowned actress Meryl Streep, submitted the divorce papers citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, with the date of separation listed as May 6, 2023.
In the legal documents obtained by TMZ, Mamie is seeking joint custody of their two children, 5-year-old son Peter and 3-year-old daughter Mary. She also requested spousal support and opted to terminate the court’s ability to award support to Mehar.
Mamie and Mehar, who is a writer, got married in February 2019 and welcomed their first child just two weeks later.
This marks Mamie’s second divorce, following her previous marriage to actor Benjamin Walker. Interestingly, Meryl Streep and her husband Don Gummer announced their separation in September 2023, adding to a series of marital woes within the family as Mamie’s sister Grace Gummer also went through a divorce in March 2020.
It seems that hardships in relationships are hitting the Streep family in succession, as Mamie’s divorce from Mehar Sethi adds to the string of separations and breakups within the renowned Hollywood clan.
