Makhadzi’s Initiative to Support Students with Registration Fees for 2025 Academic Year
Makhadzi, also known as Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, has recently launched an initiative to assist students who are facing financial challenges in paying for university registration fees for the upcoming academic year of 2025.
As part of her commitment to giving back to the community, Makhadzi has pledged to cover the registration costs for 20 students in need. She announced this initiative on social media, encouraging students to apply by submitting proof of acceptance and a brief explanation of their financial situation.
Within just 24 hours of the announcement, Makhadzi received over 5,000 applications, showcasing the overwhelming need for financial assistance among students.
In an interview with The Citizen, Makhadzi expressed her surprise at the high number of responses, stating, “It breaks my heart to see how many students struggle just to get a chance at education.”
Makhadzi emphasized the importance of education and the barriers that financial constraints pose for many students. She shared her personal experience of witnessing the struggles faced by peers who had difficulty accessing higher education due to financial limitations.
Last year, Makhadzi’s foundation focused on helping schools in Limpopo by donating school shoes and food parcels. This year, she decided to shift the focus towards higher education to address the fundamental need for access to learning.
Through her initiative, Makhadzi aims to not only provide financial aid but also to mentor and support the students throughout their academic journeys. She believes that by empowering students with the resources they need, they can focus on their studies without the constant worry of financial limitations.
Looking ahead, Makhadzi envisions a future where students can pursue their academic goals with the support of their community. She hopes that her efforts will inspire others to contribute to the education sector and uplift aspiring students.
In addition to financial assistance, Makhadzi plans to offer guidance and mentorship to the selected students, helping them navigate the complexities of university life and succeed in their academic pursuits.
As Makhadzi continues her commitment to giving back and supporting education, her initiative serves as a beacon of hope for students facing financial challenges in pursuing higher education.
