Finnish Coach Mika Lonnstrom Vows to Fight Until End of NPFL Season
After suffering a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Rangers International on the fourteenth day of the NPFL, Lobi Stars’ head coach, Mika Lonnstrom, has made it clear that the team will not give up and will continue to fight until the end of the current 2024-2025 season.
The match at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu saw Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Kenneth Igboke, and Owumiru Frank secure an early lead for Rangers International, leaving Lobi Stars struggling to catch up.
Lonnstrom praised the effort put in by the players and acknowledged the team’s progress, stating, “Our young players are adapting well to our style of play. They have shown great responsiveness in training sessions.
Despite the disappointing result against Rangers, Lonnstrom emphasized the team’s determination, saying, “Unfortunately, the outcome did not reflect the hard work put in by the players, but we are not giving up. We will continue to push forward.
