The Lagos State Government Takes Action in Child Molestation Case Involving DJ Kulet’s Husband
The Lagos State Government has taken action in the child molestation case involving Ohis Emmanuel, the husband of famed disc jockey Kudirat Gbemisola, also known as DJ Kulet.
On Monday, DJ Kulet announced her separation from her husband on social media, citing child molestation and infidelity as the reasons for their split.
The government, through the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, has strongly condemned the alleged actions and has expressed readiness to investigate the charges.
In a statement released on their social media platform, the agency stated, “We appreciate everyone who brought the issue of child sexual assault reported by @Olamide0fficial to our attention. As the statutory body in Lagos State responsible for preventing and responding to domestic and sexual violence, we take this extremely seriously.
“Violence in any form is unacceptable, and the Lagos State Government takes a zero-tolerance approach to it. We’ve reached out to DJ Kulet via Instagram DM, but if anyone has any other information, please contact us immediately.
“Please call our toll-free helpline at 08000 333 333 or send us a direct message via our social media sites. Every child ought to be protected, regardless of who they are or where they come from!”
In her public statement, DJ Kulet revealed that her husband had been engaging in the reprehensible behavior for a significant period of time, and despite forgiving him on previous occasions, she eventually discovered that she had been infected three times as a result of his actions.
She stated, “I, DJ KULET, am publicly disassociating myself from my ex-husband, Ohis Emmanuel (aka Benjamin), because of his heinous and immoral behaviour.
“Despite overwhelming evidence of his infidelity (chats, pictures, videos, and voice notes), he has refused to change his ways. The final straw was the shocking discovery that he had been sexually abusing a 13-year-old child under my roof for six months.
“Previously, I had forgiven him because he blamed his adultery on external causes, unaware of the extent of his abuse. Further investigation, including a video confession on December 28, 2024, revealed that he also molested his 20-year-old cousin, who contracted an infection, as did her friend. His predatory behavior primarily targets children, and he continues to engage in infidelity with multiple women. I treated three ailments throughout our brief eight-month marriage.
There is a video circulating on social media showing the estranged husband confessing to child abuse while seeking forgiveness from his ex-wife.
The Lagos State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding the matter at this time.
