Ghanaian musician and current Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year, King Promise, has made a heartwarming announcement regarding his support for media personality Tilly Akua Nipaa. During an interview on Accra FM with Nana Romeo, the singer shared his plans to sponsor Tilly’s master’s education as a token of appreciation for her dedication and professionalism.

King Promise, whose real name is Gregory Bortey Newman, commended Tilly for her unwavering support during his TGMA 2025 campaign. He expressed his admiration for her diligence in executing her job and emphasized the significant contribution she made to his success. As a gesture of gratitude, he decided to fund her pursuit of a master’s degree, recognizing her outstanding performance and dedication.

Tilly Akua Nipaa, a well-known entertainment pundit, played a pivotal role in advocating for King Promise throughout the TGMA season. She actively voiced her support for the singer on various platforms, including DJ Slim’s Streets Is Watching, where she passionately defended King Promise’s candidacy for the Artiste of the Year award against other nominees like Stonebwoy and Kweku Smoke.

King Promise praised Tilly not only for her loyalty but also for her balanced and respectful approach during the campaign. He acknowledged her ability to speak facts and represent him effectively without causing any controversy. His decision to sponsor her master’s education is his way of giving back and showing appreciation for her hard work and professionalism.

Leading up to the 2025 TGMAs, where King Promise received 10 nominations, Tilly played a crucial role in highlighting his accomplishments from the previous year. Her strategic commentary and composed delivery earned her widespread respect within the industry, making her a standout voice during the awards season.
