Asks to Buy Dad’s Bible …
O.J. Estate Rejects Offer
Published
Kim Kardashian hoped to buy a piece of family history from the O.J. Simpson estate, specifically her dad’s Bible, but the estate’s executor rejected her offer stating it was too late to purchase it outside the auction.
The executor, Malcolm LaVergne, revealed that Kim Kardashian’s team contacted him after news of O.J. Simpson’s personal effects going up for auction broke out.
The Bible in question was a Holy Bible gifted to O.J. Simpson by Kim’s father, Robert Kardashian, with a note inscribed by Robert inside.
Kim’s team offered $15K for the Bible and inquired about other objects belonging to Robert, but the estate had to decline the offer as the Bible was already under contract to be sold to pay off O.J.’s debt from the civil suit judgment.
The estate had no choice but to reject the offer as the Bible was court-ordered to be sold to settle O.J.’s debts from the civil suit judgment involving Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
Malcolm LaVergne explained that selling the Bible outside the auction would incur significant legal fees, making it impractical. He also mentioned the risk of a lawsuit from Goldin Auctions.
In the end, Kim Kardashian’s team was advised to participate in the auction, which opened that week, to bid on the Bible if they were still interested.
Robert Kardashian was part of O.J. Simpson’s legal team during the trial for the murder of his ex-wife and Ron Goldman, known as the “Dream Team” which included prominent lawyers like Johnnie Cochran and Robert Shapiro.
After O.J. Simpson’s acquittal, Robert and O.J.’s relationship soured, with Robert expressing doubts about Simpson’s innocence due to DNA evidence presented in the case.

We’ve reached out to Kim for a comment on the situation regarding the Bible, but have not received a response yet.
