Joy Mojisola Raimi, a recent graduate of the University of Port Harcourt, has been crowned as Miss World Nigeria 2025, representing Osun State. The prestigious title was awarded to Raimi after a highly competitive grand finale held at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The announcement of Joy Mojisola Raimi’s victory was made by Ben Murray-Bruce, the founder of the Silverbird Group, who took to his X handle to congratulate the newly crowned beauty queen. Raimi emerged victorious among 37 contestants from across Nigeria, showcasing not only her elegance but also her impactful initiative known as ‘The Love for Humanity’ project.

According to Murray-Bruce, Raimi’s dedication to humanitarian services and her commitment to spreading love and restoring faith in humanity set her apart from the other contestants. The grand finale, which saw Raimi clinch the crown, was a culmination of a fierce competition where she competed against representatives from various states in Nigeria.

A University of Port Harcourt alumna, Raimi’s personal story is one of resilience and strength, shaped by a challenging childhood. Despite facing adversity and hardships, she has persevered and overcome life’s obstacles, making her journey to the Miss World Nigeria title truly inspiring and a testament to her determination and courage.

During the final round of the competition, Raimi went head-to-head with contestants from Imo, Ebonyi, Abuja, and Abia. When asked about her experience with bullying, she shared her story of growing up without a mother and facing harassment from her caregiver. Despite being told that she would never succeed, Raimi has defied the odds and achieved this significant milestone.
