Virginia Giuffre, one of the accusers of Jeffrey Epstein, has been discharged from an Australian hospital after spending six days there. The 41-year-old was escorted away from the media upon her exit, and her current condition has not been publicly disclosed.
Earlier in March, Giuffre posted a photo from the hospital showing her injuries, which she claimed were sustained in a car accident. She said a school bus driver driving at nearly 70 mph hit her vehicle as she was slowing down to make a turn.
During her hospital stay, Giuffre experienced kidney renal failure and was given a grim prognosis by doctors, who reportedly told her she only had a few days to live. She also made allegations of domestic abuse against her husband of 22 years, Robert Giuffre.
In a statement, she said, “I was able to fight back against Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein, who abused and trafficked me. But I was unable to escape the domestic violence in my marriage until recently. After my husband’s latest physical assault, I can no longer stay silent.”
Giuffre’s brother, Sky Roberts, expressed uncertainty about whether the car accident or the alleged beating she suffered contributed to her medical issues, or if it was a combination of both. He suggested that the crash may have inadvertently saved her life.
Robert Giuffre’s attorney refrained from commenting on the allegations due to the ongoing legal proceedings in Australia. He emphasized that all parties involved in the case, including Ms. Giuffre and her representatives, are prohibited from discussing the matter in the media.
In a separate legal battle, Virginia Giuffre had previously filed a lawsuit against Prince Andrew in 2021, accusing him of sexually abusing her in London, New York, and on Jeffrey Epstein’s private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She first met the Prince and Epstein through Ghislaine Maxwell in 2000 at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club.
Giuffre claimed that Maxwell had offered her a job as Epstein’s traveling massage therapist, but in reality, she was being groomed to have sexual encounters with various high-profile individuals, including Prince Andrew.
