Update: 5pm BST – While Spotify has not issued an official update, it appears that the service is functioning again for most users. However, some users may still be experiencing intermittent issues. Personally, I am able to stream music and use the search feature without any problems.

According to Downdetector, a trusted source for monitoring service outages, tens of thousands of users in both the UK and US have reported issues with Spotify.

Spotify’s Status account on Twitter has acknowledged the ongoing issues and mentioned that they are investigating the situation.

In a later update at 3:39 BST, Spotify announced that they are actively working to resolve the outage, emphasizing that it is not the result of a security breach.
