In the parody video by People Need Comedy (PNC), DJ Cleo takes on the role of Shebeshxt in a humorous portrayal at the National Dialogue.

Music producer DJ Cleo recently shared that he has not faced any backlash from Shebeshxt or his fans following his portrayal of the controversial rapper from Limpopo. In fact, Cleo emphasized that the portrayal was done in good spirits and as a fellow Pedi, there is mutual respect between them.

The parody video created by People Need Comedy (PNC) features Cleo embodying Shebeshxt as a participant in the National Dialogue. The video showcases comedic actors impersonating politicians and members of society voicing their concerns at the dialogue.

From the national RCL president Sandra Ntotole to a Rastafarian delegate, various characters were humorously depicted in the video. Even President Cyril Ramaphosa made an appearance, officially inaugurating the convention aimed at fostering dialogue within communities.

However, not all groups were on board with the National Dialogue initiative. Several political parties, civil society organizations, and prominent foundations chose to boycott the event. The idea of a National Dialogue was initially proposed by former president Thabo Mbeki, but even his foundation withdrew its support before the event commenced.

When asked about his thoughts on the National Dialogue, DJ Cleo expressed disappointment, stating that the event lacked aesthetic appeal and failed to resonate with many South Africans.

In other news, DJ Cleo has been celebrating Women’s Month by featuring various female DJs on his radio show, “The Eskhaleni Party” on Radio 2000. As the month draws to a close, Cleo will host a special five-hour show with female DJs taking over the extended two-hour segment.

Aside from his radio endeavors, Cleo is gearing up to release a new album titled “Eskhaleni Party” in September. The album will feature singer Rethabile Khumalo, daughter of the late Winnie Khumalo, whom Cleo had a close relationship with. Rethabile’s involvement in the album holds personal significance for Cleo, further highlighting the bond between the two artists.
