File photo of a worried man
Dear GhanaWeb,
I am a 33-year-old man who is facing a difficult situation. I am in a same-sex relationship with my 28-year-old partner, and we are happy together. However, in our society, being gay is considered an abomination.
Due to societal pressure, I paid a woman GH₵5 million to pretend to be my wife. She was supposed to leave after a while, but instead, she has overstayed her welcome and is causing chaos in my life.
She has brought her lover into the house and is taking advantage of me financially and emotionally. Despite my efforts to ask her to leave, she threatens to expose my secret to my family.
She has caused damage to my family’s property, taken money from me and my parents, and is making my life a living hell. My partner and I even adopted a child to keep up the facade, but the situation is getting out of control.
I am at a loss for what to do. I considered drastic measures like poisoning her, but I know that is not the solution. I need help in finding a peaceful way to get her to leave without causing a scandal.
I am scared and desperate for a solution. Any advice on how to handle this delicate situation would be greatly appreciated.
