Hollywood Star Brad Pitt’s Los Angeles Home Burglarized
Hollywood star Brad Pitt’s Los Angeles residence was broken into and ransacked on Thursday evening while he was overseas promoting his upcoming racing film F1, according to reports from US media.
The burglary occurred at Pitt’s property in the Los Feliz area around 10:30 pm local time, confirmed by a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department to NBC News.
Although the owner was not named by the police, multiple sources informed NBC and the Los Angeles Times that the house belongs to the Oscar-winning actor.
Reports suggest that three intruders climbed over a fence and entered the property by smashing a front window. They are suspected of looting the home before escaping with stolen belongings. The authorities have not disclosed the value or details of the items taken.
According to Variety, Pitt acquired the property in 2023 for $5.5 million.
He joins a growing list of celebrities in Los Angeles who have been targeted by burglars. Earlier this year, nearly $500,000 worth of jewellery was reported stolen from the home of French footballer Olivier Giroud, who plays for LAFC. In the same month, a residence shared by Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban was also allegedly broken into.
