CHICAGO — On Thanksgiving morning, a woman in Edgewater fell victim to a carjacking incident involving two armed men. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the crime.

Reports suggest that the carjackers, both masked and armed with handguns, approached the woman in the 5400 block of North Kenmore at around 6 a.m. They proceeded to steal her belongings and fled the scene in her blue 2021 Jeep Cherokee. The stolen vehicle was last spotted entering Lake Shore Drive at 6:05 a.m., with a possible accomplice following in a white Kia sedan.

At the scene, an officer described the carjackers as Black men wearing ski masks and black jackets. One of the suspects was dressed entirely in black, while details about the second individual remain unknown.
