Sandaare emphasized the importance of enhancing the nation’s health systems to achieve positive health outcomes during a visit to the Techiman Holy Family Hospital in the Bono East region.
Accompanied by committee members Prof Dr Titus Beyou and Mr Emmanuel Kwaku Boam, Sandaare aimed to assess the hospital’s operations to produce a comprehensive report guiding the government on enhancing public health facilities and ensuring quality healthcare services nationwide. He praised the hospital management, staff, and health workers for their dedication to providing quality services and assured them of the government’s support in addressing challenges hindering healthcare delivery.
Dr. Peter Yeboah, the Executive Director of the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), reiterated the hospital’s commitment to collaborating with the government to improve health outcomes. As a major referral facility in the Bono East Region and a Specialist Training Facility for medical officers and nurses, the hospital also serves as a research center. Dr. Yeboah emphasized the need for increased government support in retooling the facility to effectively serve the community.
Highlighting the requirement for clinical infrastructure and a medical education center, Dr. Yeboah called for extensive support from all stakeholders to enable the hospital to fulfill its mandate efficiently. The visit underscored the importance of investing in public health facilities to ensure quality healthcare service delivery and improve health outcomes nationwide.
